San Fran to the Mexican border

The album starts off in heaven.

Rob's apartment / studio to be precise. Wall to wall motorbikes, engines, bikes and bike parts. Anything and everything.

Then it progresses through one day in San Fran and into the ride south. From the cabbage encircled Lighthouse, to the kite surfers, to Bonnydoon, to the surfers and seals in Santa Cruz.

The spectacular Monterey, where the cannery row is apparently famous because of some book by some guy, John Steinbeck.

There the scenery moves south to the spectacular hills of Big Sur before taking a nosedive to the elephant seals outside of San Simeon and a relaxed evening meal on the shore of the Pacific Ocean.

Relaxation turns to city frustration in Pismo Beach with 4 wheel drives parking on the beach. Frustration returns to relaxation in the hills around Solvang, takes a right at religion in Santa Barbara, then a left through nice beaches framed with oil rigs before going straight ahead for miles behind parked RVs.

The parked RVs tell a story of how the scenery changes. From sand and surf to concrete and millitary installations. From warming suns to warming nuclear power plants and their powerlines, the ride goes through LA.

Finally ending with a marathon city commute down to the Mexican border where smiles, beers look on the finish line.

San Diego, the train ride back to LA and a couple shots of Tonja, Katrina and Jason round out this sojurn along the west coast of the US.
